The following are some common questions you may have to better under stand how Imall can benefit your business.
Q: What makes Imall the right choice for me?
A: Simplicity, affordability, security, power, and total integration to whitech business professional
are the things that make Imall unique. Everything is accomplished from your Whitech Retail POS system. All data that is displayed
on the Imall web storefront is entered in the Whitech Retail POS and stored in the Whitech Retail POS database. This information is
then automatically communicated (replicated) to the web server. There is never any reason to go to the web
to maintain your e-commerce site.
When your customer places an order on the Imall web store, they are automatically saved on the web server
in the whitech Retail POS encrypted database and then communicated back to your main head office Whitech
system. You can also specify that a copy of the email order confirmation is sent to you. The orders are
then automatically available for processing through the Customer Order module. The Imall storefront
is treated as just another location in the Whitech Business Professional system for reporting and other processes. Thus,
all back office features in Whitech apply to the Imall web store just as they do to any other store location. Simple, yet
powerful! One "end-to-end" business solution for a traditional and/or web based retailer! When you add
affordability to the mix, this is truly unique in today's market for e-commerce solutions.
Q: Who designs my web site?
A: Imall has a design staff to design your web site to look and feel the same way
your corporate look / branding is in the market. Alternatively you can are able totally customise the design / layout of all
storefront pages
Q: Can Imall be reached from our existing web site?
A: Yes. Simply place a link/button on the existing web site to point to your Imall web server;
however most of the clients replace their existing website to the advance Imall system, as the built in Content Management System (CMS) will
allow you to add /modify as much additional pages and content you require.
Q: How do changes from my store get communicated to the Imall site?
A: Your Whitech Retail POS Main Head Office will communicate with your Imall Storefront in a
similar manner as it does with other multistore branches. Hence you are able to use Email, FTP or VPN for communication. Dial up modem polling is not supported by Imall.
Q: How are product pictures moved from whitech Retail POS to Imall?
A: Product pictures are loaded into the product record through the Catalogue Management module in Whitech Business Professional.
Whitech then communicates the database information (including pictures) to all stores, including
the Imall storefront. You simply set up a schedule for store communications as you would for any remote store location.
Q: Does the credit card system address verify web orders as the customer is placing the order?
A: By default there is no online credit card approval on Imall for several reasons: Cost to retailer, additional
administrative effort, customer service, and efficiency of using in store system. If a real time payment system is required, Imall can easily
be integrated with it.
Q: Will we be able to tell how many visitors we have in the website at any given time?
A: Yes, in real time.
Q: Will we be able to tell the source address where visitors were before they came to our website?
